Mags' Policies

Deposits , Card On File + Policies.
*only for bookings with owner Mags' Compton
(Please contact other artists for their policies and deposit requirements.)

New 2024 Clients: Your first appointment with me you will be asked to put down a $100- non refundable deposit with a card on file to secure your spot.
If you no show your appointment, your card will be charged the remaining balance due.

Card on File:
To ensure my policies are upheld, I will also require a card to hold any appointment while booking.
(An agreement will be sent via email to sign). 

Payments: 
Cash is always preferred and appreciated.

Cards are accepted through Square: However a 3.5% processing fee will be charged at check out if you decide to use this form of payment.

Reschedules/Cancellations:

All scheduled appointments canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment or no-shows will incur a 100% service charge of the booked service.
First-time cancellations will be subject to Mags' discretion, with a typical $100 flat fee. If it occurs more than once, the charge will be 100% of the booked service.

Now I understand that life happens, and sometimes you will need to cancel your appointment within the 24-hour period due to an emergency. Please know I do my best to give grace in these situations, but I do track all late cancellations and no-shows in order to ensure my policy is not abused. 

If for any reason I find this happens THREE times or more in a calendar year, you will be asked to pre-pay for any future services moving forward.

Given the uncontrollable situation we are currently living in, cancellations due to illness during COVID-19 will not require you to adhere to our cancellation policy. If you are ill with a fever, cough, or other COVID-19 symptoms, or if you have been exposed to anyone with symptoms or who has tested positive for COVID-19, I ask that you please reschedule your appointment. Please do not come to your appointment if you are not feeling well.

NO SHOWS: 

It’s unfortunate that “No Shows” do occur and I take these situations very seriously. 
If you do not show up to your scheduled appointment without advanced communication and notice, this not only puts a huge impact on my business financially, but it is time lost that could have been taken up by a paying client wanting to get in. 
Please be respectful of my time, and understand that this job is my livli-hood.
A 100% total will be charged to your card for no showing. 

SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS
I want you to be 100% satisfied with your hair. If you need something slightly adjusted, I am more than happy to fix it within reason. Please contact me directly via email or text within 7 days of your original service, so we can can get you back into the salon within a reasonable timeframe. 
Keep in mind if any alterations are not within the original consultation this may result into additional charges or a consider a new service. (Up to service providers discretion.)
Please respect my policies above, if a continuous request for adjustments gets abused for any reason, I may not be the stylist for you and would be more than happy to refer you to another stylist.
